About my Family and Relatives
A poem for my Late Grand Mother
Lola, I miss you
A tribute poem for the late Restituta R. Benabaye (1918-2007)
By: Ernesto Benabaye Jr.
Every time I think about it,
My heart can’t help to cry.
Cause every time I think about you,
Best memories come into view.
Is there any way that I can see you?
Not only in my dreams; cause I want in real.
I know it’s too late to say this to you,
I can’t find any one sweeter than you.
I wish I could go back in time,
Back to your arms and warm embraces; sweet divine.
Cause every time I reminisce my childhood years with you,
Just like a treasure; simply I can’t let you go.
I miss you so much; too much,
That my heart can’t bear.
And I’m sorry to say; until this day,
My heart has been filled with grief since that fateful day.
